When a new RJ Mineral Cosmetics
product is being developed, our
cosmetic designers conduct an
extensive review of the scientific
studies that have already been
published on its ingredients.
When the existing literature does
not provide adequate information
about a product's safety,
researchers may want to proceed
with laboratory studies, either on
humans, or in test tubes.
These tests determine both
whether a product will cause
irritation and its ability to move
through the skin.
Testing Process (all RJ Mineral
Cosmetics are tested locally)
Product testing and safety lie at the
very foundation of our business,
ensuring that RJ Mineral Cosmetics’
products are totally safe and of the
highest quality.
Furthermore, the RJ Mineral
Cosmetics manufacturing premises’
undergo quality assurance audits in
order to ensure that they meet RJ
Mineral Cosmetics’ stringent quality
and safety standards.
These types of tests are conducted
over 30 to 90 days under strict
conditions in-house, we are also able
to arrange for you to have external,
independent testing done at TGA
approved testing facilities.
No testing on animals
We are proud to state that none of
our products are tested on animals.
RJ Mineral Cosmetics’ Policy on Animal
Testing has not changed over the years.
We can still proudly stand behind our
policy, which states:
‘RJ Mineral Cosmetics will not conduct
or commission any animal tests on any
product or ingredient at any time
during or after development or launch
of the product.
Nor do we condone such testing.’
Dermatological Testing:
Standard test to minimise irritation on
skin.
Microbiological Efficacy
Testing: To ensure product is
microbiologically safe.
Compatibility Testing (Product Vs
Packaging Material): To ensure
packaging material is suitable for the
product and that product quality is
assured.
Stability: To ensure formulation does
not degrade.
Claims Testing: All claims made
should be substantiated and within
cosmetic guidelines.

and details how we will strive to
produce high-quality products whilst
minimising environmental impact.
RJ Mineral Cosmetics recognise the

environment in its countries of
operation and will ensure that we
continually endeavour to improve the
overall environmental performance by:
